In this podcast, Ina talks two participants from the course “In
Service for Life”.
Ahmed and Babe, came to ZEGG from different cultures and with
very different motivations.
The 10 day Erasmus+ training “In Service to Life – A Training for
Conscious Peacework” brought together 30 youth workers and
changemakers from Germany, Italy, Spain, Greece and France to
explore what a life-affirming culture can look like in practice.
It was not about fixing the world from the outside. It was an
invitation to cultivate the inner attitude that makes sustainable
peacework possible.
Babe comes from Mestre near Venice in Italy. The 30-year-old
works as a primary school teacher. She is involved in the climate
movement Extinction Rebellion as well as in the initiative
Laboratorio Climatico Pandora, a community that has brought an
abandoned building back to life and created a place for
encounters there.
Ahmed comes from Algeria, where he studied Mechanical Engineering
and worked as an engineer for three years. Today, he lives in
Spain and, together with his brother, is founding FIDESCOR, a
non-profit organization for personal development, health, and
well-being.
His dream is to help people live a more meaningful, healthier,
and more fulfilling life. This is his first time in an
ecovillage.
In conversation with Ina, Ahmed and Babe talk about their
engagement against climate change and high rents, the founding of
an NGO, and their experiences in the training “In Service for
Life”.
They talk about how they found their way to ZEGG, what they
experienced here for the first time and answer following
