Welcome to Season 7 of Menopause Whilst Black the Podcast! The
podcast committed to sharing the stories of Black women* in any
stage of menopause, primarily based in the UK.
Founder and host Karen Arthur introduces the eagerly awaited
seventh season of MWB.
Menopause is a transition, often natural (sometimes medically
induced), but inevitable and can be a challenging stage for many
women. It can also be a gateway to next wonderful phase of our
ageing lives.
Season Seven of Menopause Whilst Black the podcast heralds more
diverse stories of hope and information to allow you to advocate
for your own menopause care, or that of the people you love and
support. From doctors, to artists to healers to activists,
you are sure to find a thread that draws you in.

Karen Arthur is a broadcaster, artist, author and menopause
activist. She is host of bi-weekly weekend radio show on
Golddust radio 'Can We Talk'.
Karen hosts The Joy Retreat Barbados, the worlds first
retreat for Black women in any stage of menopause. Bookings for
April/May 2025 open shortly.
Karens first childrens book, 'Grandmas Locs', illustrated by
Camilla Ru, on celebrating natural Black hair through the
relationship between a grandmother and her grandson, will be
published by Tate publishing on 24th October 2024. Preorders
open.
*we recognise that inclusive language is important in ensuring
that ALL who experience menopause are seen and heard. The term
women is used whilst mindful of this.
