FIVE!

Our guest for Episode 5 of S7 is Cairo Nevitt. Cairo is a
Caribbean and English trans man from London and currently a
second year Sport Psychology student. Cairo was Britain's first
Openly Transgender man to be featured in a mainstream Fitness
Magazine in 2018. In 2022 Cairo made history again as a Trans
athlete, by competing as a bodybuilder and winning 3 titles; Mr.
Model, Mr Model Pro & Men's Athletic Physique Champion at two
of Europe's largest fitness federations. Cairo does so much - he
is an actor has made several tv appearances, a model guest
speaker, persona; trainer and former head coach to name but a
few. As a trans advocate, he predominantly works as a guest
speaker & facilitator on the topics of diversity &
inclusion, gender identity, intersectionality, mental health, as
well as motivation.

I first saw Cairo in a the brilliant documentary Queer and
Menopausal.  This is an eyeopening film that everyone,
particularly those working in or raising awareness around
menopause should see as it truly highlights the breadth of
experience around this transition.

In this clip Cairo talks about going through puberty for the
second time and the menopausal symptom that gave him the most
grief.

During this episode we discuss:

> Cairo's first memories of gender difference.

> Teenage years in his assigned at birth body.

> The immense importance of close family support.

> Burn out that led to a breakthrough

 ...and MUCH more.

This episode is available to watch on YouTube and listen to on
iTunes, Spotify, Amazon and beyond.

Cairo is happy for listeners to reach out to him if his story
resonates.
