Folge 13 — Rahim Fortune (Arles Edition)

Rahim Fortune, born in 1994 and raised in the Chickasaw Nation of
Oklahoma, lives and works between New York and Austin, Texas. His
project “I can’t stand to see you cry” was published as a
photobook in 2021 and won the Louis Roederer discovery prize at
the photo festival in Arles 2022. In addition to his personal
projects he also works on portrait, documentary and fashion
assignments. We spoke to Rahim in Arles just before he won the
prize and talked about the festival, his path in photography, how
he photographs close family members and more.
