Geboren 1928 in Philadelphia veröffentlichte der
Sprachwissenschaftler, politischer Aktivist und Publizist mehr
als 150 Monographien. Seine Beiträge reichen von der Linguistik
über Psychologie zu politischen Schriften. In letzteren bezog er
Position gegen die US-amerikanische Außenpolitik. Innenpolitisch
unterstützt er den linken Demokraten Bernie Sanders, er wirft der
Internationalen Politik das Scheitern in der Klimakrise vor,
kritisiert die nationalistisch-rechtsgerichtete Politik Israels
und fordert  internationale Unterstützung für die Rechte der
Palästinenser. In dem Gespräch wird die Beziehung zwischen den
USA und der EU diskutiert. Das Gespräch wurde 1999 in Boston am
Massachusetts-Institut für Technologie (MIT) im Büro von Noam
Chomsky aufgenommen. Das Interview wurde vor den
Veröffentlichungen über Noam Chomsky zu den Epstein files
geführt.

Chomsky is the most prominent American critic of capitalism. Born
in Philadelphia in 1928, the linguist, political activist and
publicist has published more than 150 monographs. His
contributions range from linguistics to psychology to political
writings. In the latter, he took a position against US foreign
policy. Domestically, he supports left-wing Democrat Bernie
Sanders, accuses international politics of failing in the climate
crisis, criticizes Israel's nationalist-right-wing policies and
calls for international support for Palestinian rights. The
conversation will discuss the relationship between the US and the
EU. The conversation was recorded in 1999 in Boston at the
Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) in the office of Noam
Chomsky. The interview was conducted before the reports about
Noam Chomsky and the Epstein files were published.
