Überlebenskampf. Zugleich beleuchtet die Sendung die sozialen,
politischen und religiösen Folgen von Privatisierung und
staatlichem Versagen sowie persönliche Lebensgeschichten von
Familien und AktivistInnen vor Ort.


Christoph Burgmer visits Cairo's informal neighborhoods such as
Manshiat Nasser and the City of the Dead: residents report
housing shortages, poor water and sewage systems, unemployment,
the shadow economy, and the daily struggle for survival. At the
same time, the program highlights the social, political, and
religious consequences of privatization and government failure,
as well as the personal life stories of local families and
activists.
