We are bringing the third season of the Postsecular Lab podcast
on the topic “Israel and Palestine from a Postsecular
Perspective” to a close with a special episode. In this episode,
Professor Nijmi Edres, Assistant Professor of Islamic Studies at
the University of Bern, and Professor Luca Di Blasi, Associate
Professor of Philosophy at the Faculty of Theology at the
University of Bern, speak with Father Issa Thaljieh, a Greek
Orthodox parish priest at the Church of the Nativity in Bethlehem
(Palestine / Occupied Territories). He provides a firsthand
account of the situation, the challenges, and the resistance of
his Palestinian congregation and discusses with the two hosts
faith in the context of life under occupation, the role of
religions, and the post-secular in Palestine.
