For this episode of Barzakh Radio, Mey and I spoke with our father,
Mohamed Atieg, about his years in different Sudanese prisons under
different regimes - from Kober to the ghost houses. He reflects on
life inside: cultural production, horizontal education,
camaraderie, hunger strikes, and how prisoners organized themselves
into communes, always sustained by solidarity from the outside.
