When was the last time you brainstormed marketing ideas just for
fun?

As entrepreneurs, we are primed to always think about what works
first—we look at what we’ve done and continue doing it into the
future.

But what if focusing on what amuses you or what inspires you
opens you up to more interesting and badass ways of marketing and
doing business?

Maybe you’re afraid. I get it: sometimes I am too, but, I remind
myself that not everything is going to work. Not everything is
going to get you results.

Whether it gets the results you were looking for or not, it’s the
whole getting used to trying new things that can be incredibly
valuable to the long term success of your business.

And that might just be your first step in showing your business
who's boss.

On today’s episode, I’m talking to my dear friend, fellow
Brooklynite, and badass boss of her businesses (yes,
businesses!), Amanda Neville. Not only is Amanda the founder and
lead strategist of Three Furies, a 7-figure branding, marketing,
and communications consulting agency but also the founder of
Tipsy, a fun and friendly neighborhood wine store in Brooklyn.

Amanda’s agency business is the complete opposite of mine in
terms of structure, types of clients we serve and what we’re
going for—yet, the fundamentals are so strikingly similar that I
knew having her on the show would provide some awesome takeaways.

And just wait to hear more about her wine store—Amanda creates
some super fun brand stories that will definitely inspire you to
think about your marketing differently.

So without further ado, let’s dig into it!

Tune into this episode to hear:

Why creative genius is important but can’t ever come first

The work every successful business owner does to make their
business successful that seemingly has nothing to do with
business

Why we both, separately, dream of starting a general
contracting company

How one creative project Amanda started just to amuse herself
turned into one of her best marketing sales strategies (this one
will make you laugh and immediately fill your head with
inspiration!)
