Career Inspiration with Julie and Ali Hartman

In this week's episode, we have our first mother-daughter duo
interview! Ali (the daughter) is in graduate school to get a
degree in clinical psychology with a focus on perinatal mood and
anxiety disorders. Julie (the mom) does "everything birth-y": a
birth doula, lactation counselor, and new parent educator. From
keeping placentas in the fridge to cuddling in bed and sharing
live birth stories, tune in to hear how Julie influenced Ali's
career path. 

Career is often an area of a mother-daughter relationship that
can be stressful to talk about. Sometimes we want to avoid the
conversation, sometimes it's a painful conversation to have, and
other times it can be the most beneficial thing for sustaining a
meaningful and secure career. A mother most always wants to see
their baby succeed and sometimes we don't realize how much impact
a mother's confidence in her career can have on her daughter.
