Ulpiano Malachias about his passion for martial arts, leadership,
business, entrepreneurship, and his journey from Brazil to the
United States.  


Ulpiano “Piano” Malachias is a four-stripe black belt in
Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu under Carlos Gracie. Jr. and holds several
International Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Federation (IBJJF) titles,
including three 1st place championships in IBJJF’s American
Nationals. 


Ulpiano is also a wildly successful businessman and entrepreneur
who started the first Gracie-Barra franchise in the United States
and now leads one of the largest and best Gracie-Barra franchises
ever, the Houston-based Gracie Barra Westchase gym.
