gratification, is often difficult because we’re wired not just to
seek pleasure but also to avoid pain. Two separate sections of
your brain handle pleasure and pain, so this is where it can get
challenging. 


Delayed gratification is challenging. But there are several
benefits to not succumbing to an immediate reward. Better health,
improved self-worth and overall long-term success with goal
setting are just a few.
