Coach for the Cleveland Cavaliers, and Brad Thorpe, founder of

Brad Thorpe is a husband, father, inventor, and lover of life.
his mission is simple – create health. change lives. give back.
as a graduate from the resistance training specialist mastery
program (2006) and muscle activation techniques specialist
program (2006), brad became the 21st specialist in the world with
the combined rtsm and mat designations. he has spent the last two
decades of his life in service to his clients, obsessing over
their health, wellbeing, and desired achievements, and has
performed over 40,000 one-on-one client training hours. Brad is
extremely passionate about the benefits of isometrics and revels
in the opportunity to share this passion with others. He has
spoken at various events throughout North America, including the
Toronto Blue Jays Annual Spring Meeting, University of Toronto’s
Family & Community Medicine program, and the Fitness
Modelling International Guild. His passion has also inspired a
variety of organizations to implement isometric-based strength
training programs through his consulting work with organizations
such as Volleyball Canada’s Centre of Excellence, Hockey Canada’s
Program of Excellence, The Stop Concussions Foundation, and Spot
6 Model Management.

Derek Millender was named Head Strength and Conditioning Coach
for the Cleveland Cavaliers in August 2013. Millender is
responsible for coordinating the team’s in-season and off-season
performance testing and monitoring, and strength and
conditioning. Millender also incorporates other training programs
such as yoga and Pilates into player individualized programs. In
addition to developing in-season programs, he works individually
with each player during the offseason to prepare them for the
rigors of an NBA season. He also works with a registered
dietician closely to recommend the right foods at the right time
(Nutrient Timing), along with supplement recommendation.
Millender is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist
(CSCS) through the National Strength and Conditioning Association
(NSCA), Registered Strength and Conditioning Coach * D with
Distinction (10yrs as a certified strength and conditioning
coach) a Performance Enhancement Specialist (PES) through the
National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM) and is also a Sports
Performance Coach through United States Weightlifting (USAW). For
