Alexa Degan: Torn 2 Triumphant: Alexa’s Return to the Rink

In this episode of the Braun Performance & Rehab Podcast, Dan
is joined by Alexa Degan to discuss her recovery from 2 ACL
injuries.


Alexa Degan is a resilient and driven ice hockey
player currently competing at the collegiate level for
Long Island University. A 2023 graduate of
Morristown-Beard School, Alexa played four
standout seasons of varsity hockey, helping her team secure
three state championships and one
co-championship. Over her freshman and sophomore
seasons, she tallied seven goals and 25 assists,
earning first-team all-state honors before
overcoming the challenge of two ACL injuries
that sidelined her.


In addition to hockey, Alexa competed in two varsity
lacrosse seasons and demonstrated strong leadership off
the field as well. She co-captained a fundraising
campaign that raised an impressive $122,000 for
the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, showcasing her
commitment to making a broader impact.


Alexa is the daughter of Christa and Sean Degan
and has two brothers, Justin and Ayden. Her
story is one of perseverance, leadership, and dedication—both on
and off the ice.
