The Trauma Clinic: When Your Body Wasn’t Yours - Truths About Childhood A*use

If you were taught young that your body was for other people—be
quiet, be useful, be pleasant—you didn’t “fail.” You adapted.
This voice note goes into what that does to a nervous system
(freeze, fawn, dissociation, scanning the room) and how it keeps
showing up in sex, love, and everyday boundaries. Then we get
practical about repair: tiny choices your body can believe,
saying small honest no’s, staying present during touch without
performing, closing with care so the story ends in gentleness.
Partnered or solo. Slow, real, doable.
You are not broken. Your body is the witness. Your voice is
welcome. Your stop is sacred. You are allowed adult desire and
safety at the same time.
Press play when you’re resourced.
Tell me what landed—where your breath changed, where your eyes
came back, what aftercare you actually needed.
Content note: childhood sexual abuse, trauma-informed sex. If you
get activated, pause, drink water, put your feet on the ground,
and come back later. If you need support, reach out to someone
you trust or a local hotline where you are. You don’t have to do
this alone.
