What your vendors won't tell you about managing cloud costs

The cloud has totally changed the way we pay for IT. Its
operating costs model where you pay for what you need, when you
need it, has its advantages. You don't need to invest in
expensive servers to deploy an infrastructure, you just have to
sign in to your Amazon account. But there are downsides too. Most
businesses have a hard time estimating just how much cloud
compute they will really need. According to the State of the
Cloud report, 46% of IT users say they exceeded their cloud
budget, and another 32% just didn't know if they had or not. 96%
believe they could save money, if only they could optimize their
cloud spend. But optimizing is easier said than done. Here to
