Removing The Lids That Limit Us // Acts: The Arrival II // November 20, 2022

One of the bigger roadblocks to growth we face are the lids on
our life. What do I mean? Allow me to get a bit personal. I have
been studying the Bible for 43 years and in those years many of
the lids on my life have been exposed. There are things I learned
from my family, from my ethnicity, from politics, from friends
and teachers and from Satan dropping thoughts into my mind. But
from time to time as I read and study God’s word, God’s word
disagrees with things I’ve learned in my past. And that now
becomes a lid that limits God’s best for me and others. So I have
a decision to make, do I believe God and change my thinking or
disregard what God says and continue living in the lid that
limits me. We will examine this very thing in Acts chapters 10
and 11 in the life of Peter.
