As we conclude our Summer of Psalms series we come to Psalm 73. It’s one of those Psalms that has an imbedded question that we all wrestle, “How come God?” I think we all have moments where we look at others and think, “How come they are blessed that way and not me?” And by the way it is okay to question God, He is a big boy. Psalm 2 has to be one of the more interesting Psalms. The writer begins with the futility of the nations rebelling against God. He quickly moves to the Anointed One to come. AND THEN, he hits us with the “Ask of Me and I will give the nations” verse. His point is, there will come a time when Jesus the Anointed One resets all things. When He takes back the world and all the nations. It will be the great “reset” for all eternity. Continuing our Summer of Psalms, we turn to Psalm 3, a Psalm of David. To say that David is being put through the ringer is an understatement. David’s life has taken a bad turn. His son is against him, friends have turned on him, people are telling him that God has abandoned him, and then there is one man throwing rocks at him while verbally abusing David.  Yeah, I’d say life is bad.
