The Good Samaritan // Parables // April 16, 2023

We begin a short series through the Parables in the Gospels. Our
first stop will be with the Good Samaritan which is a fascinating
interaction between a lawyer and Jesus over what a true neighbor
actual is. The lawyer is wanting to know who is his neighbor,
which means he wants to know who his neighbor isn’t. In other
words, who don’t I have to help or be nice to. And so Jesus sets
out on describing what a true neighbor is like. We will all be
challenged by Jesus’ description of a neighbor.
