Persecution // Acts: To The Ends Of The Earth II // June 11, 2023

As we continue to travel through Acts we find one of the
reoccurring themes is persecution. Paul is being continuously
persecuted for his faith in the Resurrected Jesus. He would one
day write in I Timothy 3:12 “Indeed, all who desire to live godly
in Christ Jesus will be persecuted.” He is telling us what to
expect so as not to be surprised when it happens. We will be
persecuted as a result of living “godly lives.” That is important
because some are persecuted for living sinful lives all the while
claiming that they are living godly. Now persecution is the idea
of being chased after and worn out, and we can feel that way to
the point of quitting. But do not despair we as we will find out
Sunday, we win!!
