Why Serve? // Belong // August 27, 2023

Taking a vacation is always fun and relaxing. It is a time to
refresh. Vacations contain the element of slowing down and
letting others serve us. There is nothing wrong with this, in
fact there is a lot right about this. But our life is not a
continuous vacation, no matter how much we wish it was. Our life,
the life of a follower of Christ is that of a servant. Jesus even
said that the greatest people who walk among us are those who
live a life of serving others. He added that He did not come
to be served, but to serve others. I know that the person who
lives a life of serving others, knows the inner gratification
attached to serving others. Today I want to look at the
question of “Why serve?” I hope to see you there.
