Today, I speak with IFBB Pro Jonelle Warner. She turned pro this
year at NPC Junior Nationals Jonelle has been in the industry and
competing since 2016 and is a full time coach for Team Boss
Bodies, where she also handles athlete and staff relations. She
has a fluffy maincoon cat named Prince James and currently
reside in Pittsburgh, PA. She firmly believes in the importance
of focusing on the mental aspect of the sport and aims to help
her clients with that.
She talks about the importance of training differently to break
through thresholds to get to that next level. Going into Junior
Nationals, she really focused on the detail in her workouts and
mind-muscle connection. That attention to detail and working to
shape her muscles really helped her work go farther.
Jonelle wants to bring classic, vintage glam to the stage. She
refined her look to a point but decided to wear a wig on stage
this year. This way she can stay true to her style and still meet
the criteria for the stage. She says this is the first year she
feels like she has nailed her look.
Jonelle has such a great perspective on competing and coaching.
You won’t want to miss her interview!
