Black Devil Disco Club


This rare live set was recorded at the Sonar Festival in
Barcelona in June 2007. Black Devil 'Disco Club' ep was one of
the most legendary and sought after of all the leftfield disco
records of the late 70s, meshing insistent live drumming,
hypnotic electronics, tape loops and sidereal vocals into a
mysterious, dark and delirious disco masterwork. The work of
French library composers Benard Fevre and Jacky Giordano, the
record gained totemic status amongst electro-disco afficonados,
eventually leading to a timely re-issue on Rephlex Records in
2004.

28 years after the original vinyl appeared, Bernard Fevre has
teamed up with electronic musician Gwen Jamois to reconvene the
Black Devil Disco Club, further exploring the realms of dark,
hypnotic and subliminally seductive electronic disco first hinted
at by the original 1978 record, resulting in pair of LPs on Lo
Recordings (lorecordings.com) and a series of remixes. .
