"Wait until you're my age, you'll understand what I'm talking
about."

Everyone has heard this uttered to them by many different people,
multiple times over the years. I can't recall how many times I've
heard this...yet, I'm the one saying it now.

As we age, our body simply can't handle the same abuse it was
capable of when we were younger. Well actually, it can...it just
takes it's toll a lot faster, and requires a lot more time,
energy and resources to recover from.

In this episode of my 5 minute fitness tips, I discuss some of my
top tips for training after 30, which include:
- Spend more time preparing for hard training
- Prioritise recovery mechanisms
- Conduct maintenance work
- Undulate training intensity and volume
- Schedule in deloads

pocket, to travel to the next State over West, to begin a new

14 - 20: I grew up and learned how to become a man through work
and rugby
20 - 26: I lived, trained and fought as a professional soldier,
at a high level
26 - 32: I became a personal trainer, after failing in my pursuit
to become a firefighter
32 - 38: I worked with, and won world titles with some of the
best athletes on the planet, as their strength and conditioning
coach
38+: The next evolution begins
