Biography

Holly Frances is a Canadian writer, speaker, illness
survivor/advocate, and certified trainer. She is also a mom in a
blended family of five and the face behind Holly After GBS on
social media, where her recovery videos have inspired millions of
people around the world. She is currently at-work on her memoir
about turning her medical horror into a crusade of helping
others.

"Eleven years ago when I was twenty six, just weeks after giving
birth, I was diagnosed with a rare autoimmune disorder called
Guillain-Barre Syndrome. I spent two months fighting for my life
in the ICU on a ventilator, completely paralyzed unable to be a
mother to my newborn baby girl. It was a heartbreaking time. But
thankfully, over time I improved. I learned to breathe on my own,
how to strengthen my muscles and how to eat and drink, and then
how to walk with a walker, a cane, then on my own. I went home
after 126 days in the hospital when my daughter was almost six
months old. I recovered completely. My recovery videos, which
went viral a few years ago have been a huge inspiration to others
going through GBS. "
