KNVB - Innovation at the core of Dutch football

Interviewing Giel Kirkels, Head of Knowledge Development and
Innovation at the KNVB, the governing body of football in the
Netherlands. From amateur to professional football clubs and
teams, the KNVB wants to ensure the quality of football for all
and stimulate the growth of football at all levels. With # 11,
the innovation hub of the KNVB, the KNVB believes that by
facilitating a centrally located network, with perfect facilities
and a top environment, the future of Dutch football can be
designed faster, more effectively and more successfully. The KNVB
has most recently come together with other leading European
football organizations to form the ‘Football Innovation
Platform,’ which is focused on finding solutions and best
practices for the benefit of everyone involved in football. The
first initiative from the platform, called Reimagine Football,
will source innovations globally that can contribute to
