1542 Trading Spaces

How much have you wanted someone else's success? Trading
spaces seems great in a dream. But in reality, you are
sacrificing yourself and your dreams.

your goals, your dreams.

You always looking over your shoulder at someone else's success.


Some would make the excuse that you are learning from what they
do, using them as a mentor or a model.


And to a degree, you start out that way. It's innocent and you
mean well, both for yourself and the one you look up to, the one
you are modeling.


But when it becomes unhealthy is when comparison
strikes!

Yet you do it every single day!


Dreams die daily! But they don't have to. You do not need to
compare yourself. You need to walk in your own strengths.


You have a journey to travel and that will look nothing like
someone else's journey.


Yes, you can learn from them. But you can't place your dreams in
their space.


It's not about trading spaces.


The strong obsession to be, to have, or to do with someone else
has to stop!

You need to get your mind out of the gutter. You need to stop
relying on the journey of someone else and walk your own journey.


And in order to stop trading spaces, you have to lay your burdens
down.
The K.I.S.S. ~ Lay your burdens down!

We carry so much weight when it comes to expectations placed upon
us or by our own choice.


Trying to live up to what is expected is exhausting. Physically,
you are ill. Spiritually, you are worn. Emotionally, you are
drained. Mentally, you are confused.


There is more lacking than doing.


You must lay your burdens down.
Bury the perfection.

You are made perfect in Jesus Christ.  

But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you,
for my power is made perfect in weakness.”Therefore I will
boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s
power may rest on me. (2 Corinthians 12:9)

Stop the excuses.

Go DO!!

Bury the comparison.

You are uniquely you! There is no one like you.

Acknowledge the negatives. Celebrate the positives.

Focus on your talents and gifts!!

Bury the "not enough".

You are enough.

Stop the shenanigans.

Take AIM on your dreams!!



Trading spaces doesn't serve you, your heart, your mind, your
body, or your spirit. It tears you down, wears you out, and
silences that which is good.
