1562 It Is Finished!

It is finished! The stone has been rolled away. He is
risen. He is risen indeed.

But is it? Is it finished?


How much of your life is met by questions; wondering if what you
are supposed to be doing is of God's will or your will?


Do you believe?


Somewhat of a strange question this day that should be a
celebration for what God did for you and me.


But that's exactly what Thomas was doing just shortly after the
resurrection. Questioning....John 20:24-29


24 Now Thomas (also known as Didymus), one of
the Twelve, was not with the disciples when Jesus
came. 25 So the other disciples told him, “We have seen
the Lord!”


But he said to them, “Unless I see the nail marks in his
hands and put my finger where the nails were, and put my hand
into his side, I will not believe.”


26 A week later his disciples were in the house
again, and Thomas was with them. Though the doors were locked,
Jesus came and stood among them and said, “Peace be
with you!” 27 Then he said to Thomas, “Put your
finger here; see my hands. Reach out your hand and put it into my
side. Stop doubting and believe.”


28 Thomas said to him, “My Lord and my
God!”


29 Then Jesus told him, “Because you have seen
me, you have believed; blessed are those who have not seen
and yet have believed.”
The K.I.S.S. ~ It is finished!

Do you believe?


Are you truly walking by faith?


Thomas was all about seeing is believing. But you weren't present
for the resurrection. However, when you walk by faith, it's not
what is seen to believe.


It's believing what has not been seen.


REFLECTION: Turn your heart upside down. Are you
requiring God to show you; to prove to you as doubting Thomas
required?


Stop doubting and believe.


God has a purpose for your life right where you are now. He is
not waiting until you get to a certain point in your life.


Walk by faith knowing that God truly carries you. He is showing
up. Are you?
"He is risen. He is risen indeed."
