One might think that hope is merely a word that breathes light in
the darkness when you are overwhelmed and flustered with what you
face.


But hope is more than "I can't wait!". Hope is the beat of the
heart. It keeps you breathing regardless of what the world tells
you.


It's easy to become confused and entangled in what the world
requires of you.


You speak phrases like:


I hope I can do this.

I hope we can pay the bills this month.

I hope I can go out with my girlfriends.

I hope we get those seats at the concert.

I hope they have our favorite dessert.



Hope is not the stuff! Hope is not your accomplishments. Hope is
not your success. Hope is not your bank account. Hope is not your
partner. Hope is not your credit score.


Hope is founded not in the what, but in the whom!
The K.I.S.S. ~ Awaken the heart of hope!

Hope is not found in your mess. The mess covers everything you
should be seeing.


So why do you keep looking there?


What happens is the mess holds your attention and concentration,
keeping you distracted from the priority of whose you are.


REFLECTION: Where do you place your hope?


Are you attaching yourself to outcomes and results? Achievements
and accolades?


This is STUFF!!!


You are going to continue to feel miserable, overwhelmed,
frustrated, and upset if you focus on the stuff.

Who is your hope in, not what is your hope in?


What are you going through today? What are you wishing would just
go away?


Give up the whining that nothing will get better. Hope is not in
what you can do yourself, or what you can control.
"Guide me in your truth and teach me, for you are
God my Savior, and my hope is in you all day long." ~ Psalm
25:5

Hope is found in God's gift of eternal life. Put your hope in
God's unfailing love. (Psalm 147:11)


My prayer for you:


Dear Lord, Bless me each morning when I rise to see the best of
what's to come. May your hope bring light to the darkness. Awaken
my heart with a fire to live for you. In Jesus' name, Amen.
"But those who hope in the Lord will renew their
strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and
not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint." ~ Isaiah
40:31

Know and understand where you are placing your hope. If you are
