1603 Love with Style

Life isn't about pointing fingers and finding fault. When
you truly give yourself in marriage, you love with
style!


And this style has nothing to do with mistakes. Further, you have
to be willing to look beyond what you see with the naked eye.

So let's go back in time to when you first met; the dating years.


Typically, you are very careful and cautious as to how you act
and what you say. You are ALWAYS putting your best foot forward.


Who wants to continue to get to know someone when expectations
aren't met?


So you dress to impress!


You dress your body to be physically appealing to your dating
partner.

You dress your heart to show compassion.

You dress your attitude to be forthcoming and giving.

You dress your personality to shine brighter, hiding all the
question marks (the dark side).

You dress your tongue to speak words of encouragement.

You dress your hands to be gentle.

You dress your feet to be willing to go with the flow.

You dress your eyes to be understanding.

You dress your smile to be inviting.



That's a LOT of dressing up!


The thing is though after weeks, months, and years go by
following marriage, dressing up becomes too much work.


You instead get your comfy clothes on. There's no reason this
season to impress.


You got me!


Pretty much, this sums up our attitude and progression years
later in marriage.


We lose the style!


And that's the problem. We gotta love with style!
The K.I.S.S. ~ Love with style!

You are so incredibly awesome. But when you decided to bury your
Love in spite of faults. No fault-finding.
It's not about keeping score; who's right and who's wrong. You have
to release each other from the bondage of right and wrong, and
accept the goodness of what's been given. Love with a
forgiving heart. You don't get things right all the time.
And so when your partner fails, you extend grace. You love with a
forgiving heart. Love with serving hands. You go
beyond what is expected and serve unconditionally in spite of what
you see with the naked eye. There is no judgment. There is no
hierarchy. You are not above your spouse and vice versa.

Jesus has the best style of loving us! It's up to you to mimic
Him. Love with style the way Jesus loves you.


So how are you going to change up your style when it comes to
loving your spouse?
