1669 Going Second Matters

We live in a competitive world, always striving to be
first and the winner. What might be the biggest difference and
the greatest impact in the world is those who follow after. Going
second matters.


There is no way you can always be the first in everything.
Whether it's your personality or how you were raised, or even
your ego, at some point you will fall short.

Now for some, coming in second can be devastating. It can stop
people in their tracks causing a pile up of failures leading to
multiple delays in achieving goals.


Perseverance slows and endurance weakens. If first isn't in the
picture, second won't matter.


That's just not true. But many of us walk that life.


Incredible deeds, products, and services are not established in
the "first" go around. It takes many trials and experiments to
get the desired results.


Going second matters.

You can choose to stay attached to being the first. I've done it
for years. However, it's been the cause of my greatest setbacks.


Remember the movie, Finding Nemo, with all the seagulls
squawking, "Mine, mine, mine, mine!"?


That's really selfish of us.


The talents you have, the gifts bestowed upon you, are all wasted
if the focus is being first.
