Community Action Tackles Food Insecurity ft. Gillian Aitken

Gillian Aitken spearheaded a one-day food drive in
Montreal called September
13thMiracle. Despite a rainy day, 25,000 kilos
of food donations were collected throughout Greater Montreal and
redistributed to 200 private homes and 100 food banks by 2000
volunteers. In this episode, she talks about heightened food
insecurity as a result of COVID-19 and shares what she learned
about distributive leadership and listening to the local
community.
