In her Master’s Thesis Capstone Empathy
Check, Tori Edwards describes why and how
exhibition curators should collaborate with the communities for
whom they are designing as equals. In this episode, she describes
an exhibit called Queens: The Weight of Our
Crown at the Colored Girls Museum which she
developed and designed to establish an empathetic experience for
the African Diasporic community around the subject of
hair.
