Preventing undesired circumstances from happening to our children
is impossible, but sometimes, as parents, we feel compelled to
try. We might even end up doing what I call "snowplowing" –
overmanaging and stifling our kids' development. This week, I’m
making an argument for why you must stop doing this if you want
your children to build a vital life skill: resiliency.

Listen in as I challenge you to recognize ways you may be
"snowplowing" your children’s lives, and how to stop. You’ll hear
how doing this robs them of the opportunity to grow and learn,
why adversity is required for resiliency, and what’s required on
your part as a parent to help them cultivate a sense of
resiliency.
