This week we will be taking a look at America's first ever serial
killer, H.H. Holmes. Holmes was a doctor, businessman, and best
selling author who is believed to have killed over 200 people in
the late 1800s during his reign of terror. Holmes is most widely
known for the creation of his murder castle or hotel, commonly
nicknamed the "death factory". It is here that Holmes committed
his unspeakable and horrendous deeds, taking the lives of many
men, women, and children. Holmes and his infamous Chicago "Murder
Hotel" has also served as one of the primary inspirations behind
American Horror Story's Hotel season.

Join us as we discuss and research the life and crimes of the
Godfather of all serial killers, the torture doctor himself H.H.
Holmes. For part 1 of this case, we will be specifically focusing
on the origin and early life of Henry Howard Holmes as well as
some of his early crimes and murders.
