Growing up the son of a doctor and nurse practitioner, Matthew
was surrounded by and benefited from close access to the medical
model. He quickly saw the power of the traditional medical model
and also its many limitations.

This fueled his passion to learn as much as he could from as many
different health professionals and practitioners as he was able
to - this was the main reason for all of the moves he and his
wife made.  They were always seeking to learn from the best
of the best and were willing to relocate to be as close to these
mentors as possible.

Matt was less concerned with people's credentials and more
focused on the results these practitioners were able to
consistently get with their patients and clients. He also valued
the professionals that had a sound thought process that were
rooted in solid principles and not biased to their specific craft
or modality.
