Welcome to a special of Eine Tasse Zukunft or rather A Mug Of
Future!

Yup, we're going international and are proud to introduce today's
guest: Mpine Makoe from the University
of South Africa! Mpine is a professor at UNISA, an Open
Distance Learning Specialist and Educational Technologist. We
spoke shortly before the annual conference of the GfHf "The
Future of the University: Global, Sustainable and Inclusive",
which takes place on September 23-25.

We talk about the role of open and distance learning universities
for solutions to global challenges, in enabling inclusion and
accessibility of education and to act as trailblazers for
innovation. Mpine comes to the conclusion, that people should be
developers, rather than consumers of innovations. Collaboration
and a shared view of things are essential here. Finally, the
sustainability strategy of UNISA and challenges of the Global
South are also adressed.
