Being Mary Jane is a story of a single Black woman trying 
to balance a busy career, a needy family, and an extremely
complicated personal life all while living up to a misguided view
of perfection and success.


Mediocrity is never an option for Mary Jane. She/s out here in
theese news anchor streets with her perfect career, perfect car,
and perfect house and dreaming about the perfect love. But
clearly Mary Jane didn’t get the memo that mediocrity is not the
opposite of perfection.
