NOTES” A Memoir. A TRUE AMERICAN STORY. Cherie Kerr discusses why
she wrote this memoir of her beloved dad, Carluchi “Charlie
“DePietro”. Her dad’s humble beginnings, and the prejudice her dad
faced growing up in Niagara Falls, N.Y.
Charlie DePietro was a very talented musician who played the violin
in his youth, the guitar, and was a famous Jazz String bass
performer! Charlie remained humble even when he rose to fame and
performed with famous celebrities and also performed the performed
music in movies!
Cherie discusses how Alzheimer’s affected her dad and how difficult
it was for her to see her dad deteriorate
