Dementia and the Music Connection

Many of us may not be aware of the many resources that are
available in our own local areas! Betsy is showing a sample of what
is available in areas located in New Jersey.
Fran discusses how Movement Music & Memories help those with
dementia keep active through music and exercise and how they also
bring ” Movement Music & Memories” to various Facilities in New
Jersey.
Fran discussed how she wears clothes and sneakers that have
contrast so people can see her feet move and see what she is
doing!
Fran wears orange or red sneakers so many of the individuals see
her feet move! That is absolutely Brilliant!
Fran discusses how people with dementia can remain active and enjoy
life! Fran also discusses what the Non-profit Caregiver Volunteer
Organization does such as providing companionship and help with
referrals to other resources which will help the caregiver and
their loved one!
