Mumbai 26/11 marks a day etched deeply in the memory of every
Indian—a day when our nation faced one of its darkest and most
terrifying challenges, born of a calculated conspiracy against
India. However, in the face of adversity, we stood resilient and
united. This day remains unforgettable for all Indians. We had
the privilege of hosting senior journalist Jitendra Dixit, who
was present at the scene during those tragic events. He shared a
firsthand account of the horrors that unfolded on November 26,
2008, particularly inside the Taj Hotel and across the streets of
Mumbai. He also recounted the capture of te**orist Ajmal Kasab by
the police, made possible through the ultimate sacrifice of
martyrs like Shri Tukaram Omble and Shri Sandeep Unnikrishnan. In
our discussion, we delved into critical questions about the
possible intelligence lapses by R&AW, the role of the media
during those crucial hours, and the lessons we can learn from
this tragedy.
