In our third episode on economic statecraft, we move from Down
Under further on onto the shores at the other side of the Pacific
Ocean. We have spoken with Cynthia Sanborn, who is Director of
the Center for China and Asia-Pacific at Universidad del Pacífico
in Lima, Peru, and Francisco Urdinez, Director of Millennium
Nucleus of China's Impacts in Latin America and the Caribbean at
Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile. They give insights in
there mapping of economic activities undertaken by Chinese
companies in the pacific region of Latin America, on the benefits
for the region and what risks and dependencies have occurred.
