#44 Survival and Success with Anel Imanbay

Young. She then pivoted into education, rose to lead departments
at Miniclip (a global gaming company) and even won the L’Oréal
Brandstorm competition in Portugal.


But it was a near-death experience with sepsis after childbirth
in Namibia that changed everything. Anel opens up about how that
life-or-death moment led her to write her bestselling book, Her
Name Was Flower, and completely redefined her sense of purpose.


From building Into Beauty, her soulful beauty salon in Lisbon’s
Marvila, to creating vibrant community events like B&B Days
and launching TEDxMarvila with its powerful theme “The Art of
Being Human”, Anel’s story is a testament to resilience,
reinvention, and the beauty of daring to start again.
