Prof. Thomas Seyfried is a professor of biology at Boston College
and a leading researcher in cancer metabolism. He is best known
for his book Cancer as a Metabolic Disease, where he argues that
cancer is primarily caused by mitochondrial dysfunction rather
than genetic mutations. Seyfried holds a Ph.D. in Genetics and
Biochemistry and completed postdoctoral training in neurology at
Yale University. His research focuses on metabolic therapies,
including ketogenic diets, as potential treatments for cancer and
neurological disorders. He has published over 150 scientific
papers and is a prominent advocate for rethinking conventional
cancer treatment approaches.
