This week, 133 cardinals from around the world will gather at the
Sistine Chapel to vote for the next pope. This event, known as the
Conclave (a term popularized by the Oscar-winning movie of the same
name), is steeped in tradition and secrecy. Only the voting
cardinals know what takes place inside the chapel. Mary FioRito, a
senior fellow at the Catholic Association, explains the process of
selecting a new pope and what the Catholic Church seeks in this
selection. President Trump has yet to close trade deals with other
countries, but the administration reports that negotiations are
underway. Additionally, after pulling federal funding from Harvard
last month, the Trump administration has also halted any new
federal grants to the university until White House demands are met.
White House Senior Policy Strategist May Mailman joins the podcast
to discuss the Trump administration's stance on federal funding for
universities and what upcoming administration travels abroad could
mean for trade talks. Plus, commentary from FOX News Contributor
Tom Shillue. Photo Credit: AP Learn more about your ad choices.
