Director of Movement Building at HEART (Health Education,
Advocacy, Research, and Training), Sahar explains how she and her
colleagues at this non-profit organization focus on various
initiatives focused on promoting sexual health education,
advocacy, and challenging stigma around these topics within
Muslim communities and beyond. While HEART mainly deals with
these issues within a Muslim context, this conversation is sheds
light on the importance of sexual agency, reproductive rights,
and culturally responsive approaches to health and well-being for
all people.
