During his prime, Rudi was one of the most dominant full forwards
in the SANFL and will go down as one of the absolute greats to
play for the Central Districts Football Club.


He finished with 475 goals from his 141 games.He was the leading
goal scorer in the SANFL in 1989 with 93 goals and of his seven
seasons with Centrals, he topped their goal kicking on six
occasions.


On our chat we talked about Rudi’s stroke scare and how he’s
recovering from it, his childhood and the mischief him and his
mates got up to, what life was like growing up in Poowong in
Victoria and how he got the passion to play Aussie Rules despite
coming from a Dutch background!
