Jesus Died For Us While We Were Still Sinners

23 In this episode, I continue talking about sin. I use a couple
of scriptures to get started.


Romans 3:23


For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.


Romans 5:28


But God demonstrated His own love toward us, that while we
were still sinners Christ died for us. 


Isaiah 53:5


But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for
our iniquities; The chastisement for our peace was upon Him, and
by His stripes we are healed.


God took care of the issue of sin through His Son Jesus.


I try to give you a handle to hold on to with a picture.


Revelation 3:20


Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My
voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and dine with
him, and he with Me.


Genesis 4:3-7


And in the process of time it came to pass that Cain brought
an offering of fruit of the ground to the Lord. 





Able also brought of the first born of his flock and of their
fat. And the Lord respected Abel and his offering.


But He did not respect Cain and his offering. And Cain was
very angry, and his countenance fell. So the Lord said to Cain,
"Why are you angry? And why has your countenance
fallen? 





If you do well, will you not be accepted? And if you do not do
well, sin lies at the door. And its desire is for you, but you
should rule over it.


Each example above has a door pictured. The way I imagine this
door is a barrier that separates the spirit realm from the
physical realm.


When I attempt to picture sin, I see it as an open door. We are
all tempted, and I describe how I imagine temptation as a "knock'
on my personal door that separates the spirit realm from my
(physical) world.


Sin is merely missing the mark by opening the door to temptation.
We have all opened the door to sin at one point in our life.


I also mentioned where Peter asked Jesus about forgiveness (a
separate rabbit I chased :-) )
