328 In this episode, I turn to Father Abraham to teach about why
he is called the father of faith.

I use Galatians 3:5-9

Therefore He who supplies the Spirit to you and works miracles
among you, does He do it by the works of the law, or by the
hearing of faith?

Just as Abraham believed God, and it was accounted to him for
righteousness.

Therefore know that only those who are of faith are the sons of
Abraham.

And the Scripture, foreseeing that God would justify the Gentiles
by faith, preached the gospel to Abraham beforehand, saying, "In
you all the nations shall be blessed."

So then those who are of faith are blessed with believing
Abraham.

also

Romans 4:17-22
(As it is written, I have made you a father of many nations) in
the presence of Him whom he believed, God, who gives life to the
dead and calls those things which do not exist as though they
did;

who, contrary to hope, in hope believed, so that he became the
father of many nations, according to what was spoken, "So shall
your descendants be."

And not being weak in faith, he did not consider his own body,
already dead (since he was about a hundred years old), and the
deadness of Sarah's womb.

He did not waver at the promise of God through unbelief, but was
strengthened in faith, giving glory to God,
And being fully convinced that what He had promised He was able
also to perform.

And therefore it was accounted to him for righteousness.

The Bible gives you and me examples to study and imitate if we
are going to learn to walk by faith and not by sight.
