Quando si pensa a una frase per descrivere il celebre poeta e
scrittore Gabriele D’Annunzio, il pensiero va
immediatamente a “vivere inimitabile”. La frase venne inventata
dallo stesso D’Annunzio e, in effetti, riassume benissimo sia la
sua esistenza che tutte le sue esperienze: una vita che,
decisamente, non può essere imitata. D'Annunzio volle fare della
sua vita un'opera d'arte e visse in modo che così fosse.

When one thinks of a phrase to describe the famous poet and
writer Gabriele D'Annunzio, the thought immediately goes to
“inimitable living.” The phrase was invented by D'Annunzio
himself and, in fact, sums up very well both his existence and
all his experiences-a life that definitely cannot be imitated.
D'Annunzio wanted to make his life a work of art and lived in
such a way that it was.
